Summer at the Farm for children 30 months to 11 years Summer 2026. Summer Preschool Registration 8am 2/12/26, school age registration 8am 2/13/26

Summer programs are available for children from 30 months old with an adult, preschoolers, and school-age children up to grade four. The classes for grade schoolers include a farm experience and more focused activities in science, history, culinary arts, or woodworking.

Key Notes:

  • Children with severe allergies requiring EpiPens can only be accommodated in Adult & Child Together classes.
  • Children who turn 5 before September 1, 2025 will be eligible for school-age classes.
  • Children turning 5 after September 1, 2025 are the correct age for preschool classes.
  • Children under 3 participate in Adult & Child Together classes.
  • A child must be 3 by the start of class for preschool age classes.
  • A $50 cancellation fee applies after registration. TUIO fees are non-refundable.
  • If you cancel within two weeks of the class start date, no refunds will be given.
  • Further details, such as name tags, will be mailed the week before classes begin.
  • Classes are held outdoors in all weather, so proper attire is needed; indoor spaces are used minimally.
  • Children with an IEP or those needing a helper need to email us after registration because Preschool children with special needs may qualify for grant-funded assistance.

Spring/Summer adult/child class registration will happen 2/17/26 at 8am.

Classes for School-Age Children - Summer 2026. Registration for school age classes opens at 8am 2/13/26.

All school-age classes include basic farm activities as well as the special area of interest described below. Classes are held from 1-3:30 or 1:15-3:45 to stagger the start times . Children are dropped off for these classes. Age range for each class is listed under the name of the class. Children can attend more than one class. 

Science 5yo prior to 9/1/25-completing 2nd grade

5-day class • $160

Each day a special focus with hands-on science projects related to the farm.

Art 5yo prior to 9/1/25-completing 2nd grade

5-day class • $160

Outdoor art lessons – paint, clay, pastels, “seeing and doing.” 

Cooking 5yo prior to 9/1/25-completing 2nd grade

5-day class • $160

Cooking with natural grains and farm produce. Learn the fun of making things yourself from scratch; eat your own work.

Woodworking 5yo prior to 9/1/25-completing 2nd grade

5-day class • $160

Learn to measure, saw and pound. Bring home your own project and creations.

Nature Study 5yo prior to 9/1/25-completing 2nd grade

5-day class • $160

Explore the surrounding woods, meadows and ponds. Discover the wonder of the natural world!

History on the Farm completing 3rd-4th grade

5-day class • $160

Use the tools of old time farmers and pioneers to care for animals and prepare food. Discover how Native Americans lived off the land and what was here before people arrived.

Classes for Preschool-Age Children - Summer 2026. Registration opens 8am 2/12/26 for summer preschool age children.

Basic learn-by-doing for 3-5 years, pre-kindergarten age. (children must be 3 by the start of class and if they are 5, they can not have turned 5 prior to 9/1/25) Children feed animals and do all of the basic farm activities plus have different focus activities each day.  Times are listed on each class but we do have staggered starts so some will be 9 – 11:30 (green) and some will be 9:15 – 11:45 (yellow). Children are dropped off for these classes. NOTE: Limit of two sessions per child.
